Standard returns & refunds
Most area rugs purchased on our website may be returned or refunded within 30 days of the purchase date, subject to the conditions below.
Discontinued rugs
All discontinued rugs may be exchanged within 15 days only, for an equal-value in-stock rug.

90-day warranty (exchange only)
Our 90-day warranty applies only to manufacturing defects, including:
- The rug releasing fibres from the pile or excessive shedding attributable to a manufacturing fault.
Hand-made & hand-knotted rugs
Hand-made and hand-knotted rugs may show natural variation: they are not perfectly symmetrical like machine-made rugs. Minor unravelling or untying on corners, sides, edges, or fringes can be normal for handmade pieces and does not qualify for a warranty claim.
Large rugs (8 × 11 and larger)
Returns on rugs 8 × 11 or larger are accepted only with prior authorization from Terry.
Wool rugs — extended exchange
We offer a 12-month exchange policy on all wool rugs.

Exchanges after 30 days are accepted only with authorization from Terry.
Free shipping
Free shipping is available on orders over $200 within a 30 km radius of the store. Orders that do not meet these conditions may be subject to additional shipping fees.
Shipping on exchanges
The customer is responsible for all shipping costs related to exchanges. We ship within the Gatineau and Ottawa Valley region and as far as Kingston.

Yes. We can deliver purchased/trial rugs and we also provide delivery and pickup for rugs that need to be serviced.
No, our suppliers use only adult labour. The demand for hand-knotted rugs has increased tenfold in the last decades. To keep up with the demand, manufacturers from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and China have organized and set up production facilities where child labour is just not fast or consistent enough.
Yes, we believe in trying before buying. Trying rugs is a must for us and completely free because we believe the only way to truly know if the product is the right one for you is by visualizing it in the space it belongs.

We recommend quality synthetic fibre rugs for families with children and pets, which are prone to spills and accidents. As cleaning experts, we know it’s easier to clean and care for synthetic rugs compared to wool rugs. Natural dyes can bleed with spills or accidents and can create a permanent stain.
